Dear Brother and Sister Meyer,
You have already received the exciting news that your daughter has been chosen to be the next Sister to be transferred to Bermuda for a period of approximately 6 months. It is an opportunity that only a few in the New york New York South Mission ever have and it signifies the great trust and confidence that President Calderwood has in her. These sister are hand picked for their personal attributes of faithfulness, obedience, and spirituality. It is a great honor to have been chosen.
I have enclosed a copy of her call letter to Bermuda; be sure to read it as there is some fun information as well as important mailing instructions for family and friends. Please share this information with all that may be mailing letters to her.
We will send her application and paperwork to Bermuda to apply for her work permit. It usually takes 4 weeks to process her application. Once the process has been completed, the necessary work permit will be sent to the office and I will be able to order her ticket for the flight to Bermuda. You will also be happy to know that all medical and travel costs for missionaries to Bermuda are paid by the Mission.
We have a wonderful senior couple who are serving in Bermuda. They are Thomas and Susan Moss from Idaho Falls, Idaho and they are a wonderful support to our two Bermuda Sisters. Your daughter will be serving with Sister Cassidy Drae McKee, from Laketown, Utah. I'm sure you will come to know all of them well through your daughter's letters from Bermuda. We enjoy your daughter very much and thank you for sharing her with us. She is a young lady you can be very proud of.
Wish Best Regards,
Sister Johnstun
Mission Secretary
